Youth Euphonium & Tuba Ensemble

The Youth Euphonium and Tuba Ensemble (YETE) was started in 2011 and is composed of junior high and high school euphonium and tuba players from the greater Southeast Michigan area. YETE students work with current U-M graduate and undergraduate tuba and euphonium students to strengthen their overall musicianship, learn new repertoire, and participate in collaborative music making with a diverse group of students from across Michigan.

All students going into 7-12th grade are eligible to apply. Students should bring their own instrument and mouthpiece to all rehearsals and performances to each rehearsal.

Tuition, Fees, and Scholarship

There is a non-refundable annual tuition of $195 per student. Payments may be made by check or money order payable to the University of Michigan. Need-based scholarships are availble; please visit the MYE Tuition, Fees, and Scholarship page for more information.


Interested students should complete the MYE online application and select YETE as their ensemble.


No audition is required to join YETE.
