The Michigan Youth Band provides the opportunity for students to explore music, at the college level, and enhance their skills through quality rehearsals culminating in a concert at the end of the fall and winter semesters.

If you missed the March 31 application deadline, YOU CAN STILL APPLY. 

A September 14, 2008 audition date has been set.  We encourage you to use our online application process.  If you are

unable to do so, application and brochure can be downloaded.  You may apply anytime, but no later than September 8, 2008.  Applications must be received by this date!

 

MYE Application Deadline - March 31, 2008

An online application is now available!  We encourage you to apply online as this will be helpful with processing

applications in a timely manner, and will insure accuracy of your information.

Audition Dates - April 13 and 14, 2008 (see Audition Requirements)

Students will be notified of audition results no later than June 1, 2008

 

2008-2009 Rehearsal Schedule

  9 Fall Sundays, 2008:       September 28, October 5, 12, 19, 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23*
10 Winter Sundays, 2009:  January 18, 25; February 1, 8, 15, 22; March 1, 8, 15, 22*

(The School of Music, Theatre & Dance - Moore Building is located on UM North Campus, 1100 Baits Drive)
*dress rehearsal at Hill Auditorium, Central Campus, 825 North University

Encourage family and friends to attend.  All performances are FREE and open to the public; no tickets are required.
