Welcome to the University of Michigan MPulse 2006 Performing Arts Technology Camp website!
The two-week Performing Arts Technology (PAT) Camp, now in its 12th year, gives students the opportunity to work in the University of Michigan's state-of-the-art music technology and audio recording studios. Through individualized creative projects, students learn the fundamentals of music technology and recording. During the first week, students create original compositions that use MIDI and digital audio. The second week focuses on advanced applications in music technology including sound design, film scoring, and multi-track recording and productions. Student work is compiled, mastered, and presented on both a web site and a compact disc. The two weeks culminate in a performance of student works. The Performing Arts Technology Camp is designed for current high school students who are considering studying some aspect of music technology in college.
