Recorded Auditions - DVD Instructions

Clearly label your DVD and its jacket/case with your name, instrument, title and composer of your selection(s), and the MPulse Ann Arbor session(s) to which you are applying.

Submit one DVD that includes both one solo piece AND one etude, both demonstrating your highest level of accomplishment (for example, a solo piece performed at Solo and Ensemble Festival AND an etude by Pozzoli, Salzedo, or Bochsa). The selection(s) need not be more than three to five minutes in total length, but should demonstrate both technical and lyrical skills.

You may have one of your current music teachers (school teacher or private teacher) assess your work in a letter of recommendation. The letter should be included with your application in a sealed envelope (with the teacher's signature across the back seal).
