8:00pm, Walgreen Drama Center, Stamps Auditorium

As part of the ongoing series honoring the 100th birthday of the composer, musicology faculty member Mark Clague performs John Cage's pathbreaking aesthetic manifesto -- the "Lecture on Nothing" -- that explores the composer/philosopher's concepts of structure, meaning, intent, and, especially, Silence, in advance of his infamous 4'33" and with the provocative musical observations and iconic humor for which Cage was deservedly known.
