Carol P. Richardson
Professor Richardson, Chair of the Department of Music Education, is respected as being at the cutting edge of thinking in the field of music education for children of various cultures. She is co-author of two important books for both music teachers and elementary classroom teachers. She is co-editor of the forthcoming Second Handbook of Research on Music Teaching and Learning (Oxford University Press). She has written more than a dozen articles in major music education journals and has been a presenter at meetings sponsored by the American Educational Research Association and the Music Educators National Conference.
Prior to joining the Michigan faculty, she was a member of the faculty of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Northwestern University, and the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh.
