B.A. (Theatre), Pennsylvania State University

M.F.A. (Design), University of California-San Diego

Following his graduate study, Vincent Mountain worked as a freelance designer and was an NEA/TCG Design Fellowship recipient in 1993-1994. Professor Mountain has designed productions for a range of theatres, from small experimental companies to regional and commercial theatres. Recent design work includes the premiere of Mitch Albom's latest play And The Winner Is at the Purple Rose Theatre, and Hansel and Gretel for the Pine Mountain Music Festival.  Other credits include the National Tour of Jekyll and HydeOrpheus Descending, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Devil’s Disciple, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest at the Alley Theatre in Houston;  and ...Love, Langston at the Seattle Repertory Theatre and the Great Lakes Theatre Festival.  Other opera designs include Idomeneo for Wolf Trap Opera Company, and La traviata for Opera Theatre of Saint Louis. His design for Little Women, originally produced at Central City Opera in Colorado, has also been remounted at Opera Omaha, and Chautauqua Opera.
