When nine U-M students began their journey to India with Prof. Stephen Rush in July, they thought they were going to learn about Indian classical music. But when they returned one month later, they also brought vast new knowledge about themselves and each other.
SMTD has partnered with the Gershwin family to bring the music of George and Ira Gershwin to students, scholars, performers and audiences across campus and worldwide.
