The Piano Department offers comprehensive professional training to talented performers. Its mission is to assist, guide, and encourage students in achieving the highest artistic and intellectual standard of which they are capable. Through individual instruction, ensemble coaching, and musicianship classes, the faculty strives to promote understanding while simultaneously encouraging original and creative thought. Students receive thorough preparation for careers as soloists, chamber musicians, accompanists and teachers.
