DEGREE PROGRAMS

The department of performing arts technology offers the following degree programs:

Undergraduate Degree Programs:

Bachelor of Music in Music and Technology (Curriculum A) - designed for students who possess demonstrated interest in producing music with computer technology who are also performers in voice or on an acoustic instrument.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts Technology, Music Concentration (Curriculum B) - designed for students who possess demonstrated interest in producing art forms that integrate images, sound, and music using computer technology.
Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performing Arts Technology,Media Arts Concentration (Curriculum C) - designed for students who possess demonstrated interest in using technology to create multimedia art forms.
Bachelor of Science in Sound Engineering (Curriculum D) - designed for those students who demonstrate abilities in both music and engineering and are interested in sound reinforcement, sound recording, and audio equipment design.
Concurrent Undergraduate/Graduate Studies in the Media Arts - designed to facilitate the advancement of outstanding U-M baccalaureate candidates through completion of the Master of Arts, (M.A.) in Media Arts.
