Master of Music in Music Education 2012-2013

The Music Education Department requires that applicants have two years of full-time teaching experience prior to entering the program. Applicants to the M.M. in Music Education are required to interview with a Music Education faculty member. If applied lessons and/or ensemble participation are to be elected, the applicant must audition for the appropriate instrumental/voice faculty. Indicate on the application the manner in which you will complete the interview, and the audition if applicable.

Applicants must upload a 15-minute video of teaching in a music classroom with a brief written description of the content of the video. All materials are due by December 1. Applicants will then be reviewed and candidates may be invited for campus interviews.

Master of Music in Music Education - Summer Program 2013

The Music Education department requires that applicants have two years of full-time teaching experience prior to entering the program. Applicants to the M.M. in Music Education - Summer Program are required to interview with a Music Education faculty member. Indicate on the application form the manner in which you will complete the interview.

Master of Music in Music Education with Teacher Certification 2012-2013

Applicants in Music Education interested in receiving Teacher Certification are required to audition for the appropriate instrumental/voice faculty and also to interview with a faculty member of the Music Education Department. Applicants should prepare the undergraduate audition repertoire on their instrument and are not required to submit a pre-screening recording.  Applicants choosing to audition at a regional audition site or upload a recording will complete the process with a phone interview.  Indicate on the application the manner in which you will complete the audition and interview.

Specialist in Music in Music Education 2012-2013
