A.  Yes.  Contributions to the School of Music, Theatre & Dance are fully deductible for federal income tax purposes, subject to the limitations placed on charitable gifts.

Q.  Can I specify that my gift be used for a particular program or discipline?

A.  Yes.  You can designate your gift to any program at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance.  For help in directing your gift, please call Ericka Bigelow  at 734-763-0632.

Q.  Do employers match gifts?

A.  Many employers have matching gift programs.  An employee should check with his or her company’s personnel office to find out if the company matches gifts to education institutions and, if so, obtain the company’s matching gift form.

Q.  How can I make a donation?

A.  You may simply write a check, made payable to the University of Michigan, and mail it to School of Music, Theatre & Dance Development, 2005 Baits Drive, Ann Arbor, MI 48109-2075, and indicate on the memo line where you want your gift to be used.  You can also print the School’s donation form or make a gift online using a major credit card.

Q.  Is making an online gift safe?

A.  Using Michigan Online Giving is both convenient and completely safe.  The University of Michigan uses a system for online transactions that encrypts the information you supply before it is sent to our server.  This protects your information from unauthorized viewing while being transported across the Internet.
