Alumni Society Scholarship Fund

Sponsored by the Board of Governors, the School of Music, Theatre & Dance Alumni Society established the Alumni Society Scholarship Fund 20 years ago. To date, the Fund has helped dozens of students with their tuition costs. From its origin of three gifts totaling $86 in 1982, the fund has grown to an endowment, earning interest, to its current market value, $206,078 as of June 30, 2009.

Board of Governors members are considered special advocates of this important source of scholarship funding and are encouraged to promote, support, and participate in generating additional sources of funding for the Alumni Society Scholarship Fund. Considered a cornerstone of the School's scholarship funding, this fund has been cruicial in assisting deserving students in attaining their goals. There is also satisfaction in watching their achievements beyond graduation as some go on to become well-known artists in the world of the performing arts.

If you would like to make a gift to this fund, please visit http://www.giving.umich.edu/ and specify your gift to The School of Music, Theatre & Dance Alumni Society Scholarship Fund (796013).
