Three Days of Octubafest!

October 2010

The annual Octubafest, featuring tuba and euphonium players from the studio of professor Fritz Kaenzig, kicks off on Thursday, October 28, and Friday, October 29, at 8:00 in Stamps Auditorium of the Walgreen Drama Center, with solo performances by award-winning students. Then on Saturday, October 30, join us for the annual concert by the U-M Euphonium and Tuba Ensemble at 4:00 p.m., also in the Stamps Auditorium. The program runs the gamut from the opening transcription of von SuppĂ©’s Light Cavalry Overture to the closing number Funk, with Londonderry Air, the Russian Sailor’s Dance from The Red Poppy, and Bohemian Rhapsody in between. All performances are free and open to the public.
