Gypsy Pond XII

Gypsy Pond Music XII kicks off at noon on Thursday, October 29, on and around the pond behind the E.V. Moore Building, home to the School of Music, Theatre & Dance. This year’s installation includes a 12-foot floating sculpture and lighting “orbs of fire” each night at 7:00 p.m. The installation can be “played” by anybody who walks by:  light, sonar, and temperature sensors change the music and tempo. The annual presentation is created by the Digital Music Ensemble under the direction of Stephen Rush. The installation will remain in place through Sunday, November 7. Awesome any time, but most spectacular at night!
