Global Tour Fund Matching Challenge Deadline Extended

The Global Tour Fund was created as an endowment to insure that future generations of students at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, have the opportunity to tour as a music ensemble.

U-M President Mary Sue Coleman recently extended the donor challenge, known as The Student Global Experience, intended to help prepare U-M students to thrive in a global environment. Cash donations made or pledged to the School of Music, Theatre and Dance SMTD Global Tour Fund qualify for this challenge: for every two dollars donated, President Coleman will provide a match of one dollar. This will transform a gift of $20,000 to $30,000 or $200,000 to $300,000, and will allow donations from alumni and friends to make a greater impact. 

Additionally, the School has benefitted from scholarships through this match that support international exchange experiences.
