Detroit Jazz Festival Labor Day Weekend

SMTD jazz department musicians are included in the lineup for this weekend’s Detroit Jazz Festival, scheduled for September 3-6. The Ellen Rowe Quintet with Andrew Bishop performs on Saturday, September 4 at 2:00 p.m. at the Pyramid Stage and the Robert Hurst Group is slated for Sunday, the 5th, 7:15 p.m., on the Waterfront Stage. The Detroit Jazz Festival Jazz Orchestra, led by Dennis Wilson and including Rowe, Bishop and Hurst, performs Monday, September 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Carhartt Amphitheatre.
