2010 New Music on the Block Competition winners

December 2010

Each year, Block M Records, a record label managed by the School of Music, Theatre & Dance, sponsors a competition to celebrate student creativity in the arts by promoting new musical works composed, performed, recorded, and produced by U-M students. Winners are awarded the chance to record in the Audio or Video Studio at the Digital Media Commons at the Duderstadt Center.

This year’s winners are School of Music, Theatre & Dance students Simon Alexander-Adams for his Corrugated Ocean, Nicholas Gerard for Summer's Sound, Demetrius Nabors for Reflecting, and the College of Pharmacy’s Armin Nikkhah Shirazi (DaVinci) for Dam-e Kuch-e.

Congratulations to all!
